Our World Foundation

Who are we

Our World Foundation has been established to raise awareness about climate change in order to stimulate people's support for the solutions - renewable energy and energy efficiency. It is also concerned with the consideration of other ways to progress the mitigation of climate change. It is a non profit organisation.

Its patrons are :

Sir John Houghton,
Former Co-Chairman of Working Group 1 of the United Nations
Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and former Chief
Executive of the UK Met Office.

Dr Andrew Dlugolecki
Former insurance executive (1973-2000). Review editor of the Insurance and Financial Services Chapter of the IPCC Third Assessment Report. Advisory Board member of The Carbon Disclosure Project and The Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, and advisor on climate change to UNEP Finance Initiative.

Charles Secrett
Former Director of Friends of the Earth UK

Prof. David Elliott
Consultant on Sustainable Energy:
Energy and Environment Research Unit, The Open University.

Our World Foundation is currently progressing the need for a national, European and Welsh Climate Change Communications Programme that could be set up under Article 6 of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

Our World Foundation is also progressing a Global Climate Change/Renewable Energy Plan which has as its objective the rapid transfer to a renewable energy sourced society.
