3. SUPPORT COMPANIES AND POLITICAL LEADERS THAT ARE TAKING ACTION

Dupont has reduced its emissions by over 70% since 1990, HSBC is the world's first major bank to become carbon neutral; Marks & Spencer has committed to do so.*90 So as you shop, back companies that are taking action and minimise your presence with the passive. Write a letter of support, or condemnation to a company and please only vote for political leaders who aim to take real action.

4. PLANT A TREE – ONE OR MORE A YEAR

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) originally aimed to plant one billion trees to fight climate change through reforestation. Many billions have now been pledged and planted. Individually, or as a family, please plant at least one tree a year and join the UNEP billion trees campaign at their site. www.unep.org/billiontreecampaign

5. BEGIN A CHAIN OF CHANGE
